After years of passionate work advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), we share this message with deep gratitude and reflection:  Community Business will be winding down its operations in the coming weeks.  We aim to complete the wind-down process by 31 March 2026, subject to legal and operational requirements.

This decision follows a period of significant challenge. The economic climate and shifting public discourse around DEI have made it increasingly difficult to sustain our mission. Despite the tireless efforts of our team and the unwavering support of our partners, we’ve reached a point where continuing is no longer financially viable.

We are extremely proud of what we’ve built together over the last 23 years.  Community Business has been a catalyst for change in Asia, moving the needle on workplace diversity, equity and inclusion through our trailblazing research, benchmarks, advocacy and networks. These initiatives have not only raised awareness but also provided practical frameworks for companies to act and imbed responsible and inclusive practices into their operations, transforming their workplaces into more human-centred environments.  Some of our notable achievements include:

·       Facilitated trusted networks where member companies come together to connect, learn, collaborate, and exchange bold ideas, accelerating the movement toward responsible and inclusive business.

·       Pioneered Asia’s first LGBTQ+ Inclusion Index, setting the benchmark for companies to measure and accelerate progress.

·       Exposed gender imbalances on corporate boards and championed greater representation of women in leadership roles.

·       Launched the groundbreaking “This is Me Asia” campaign, breaking stigma and sparking open dialogue on workplace mental health.

·       Elevated visibility of inclusive employers through prestigious awards, establishing standards and inspiring others to follow.

·       Led in-depth research across Asian markets, uncovering barriers to social mobility and driving action for equitable opportunities.

·       Delivered Hong Kong’s annual work-life balance study, shaping conversations on employee wellbeing and corporate responsibility.

To everyone who has walked this journey with us—thank you. Your belief in our mission and our work has made a lasting impact. Though this chapter is ending, the values we’ve championed live on in the work you continue to do.
