過往,香港男士沒有法定侍產假,自2006年開始,勞工處已就應否立法設立男性僱員侍產假展開研究,經過8年的問卷調查、民意諮詢以及立法會上的立法程序,最終在去年12月18 日立法會經過三讀程序通過「2014年僱傭(修訂)條例草案」,使男性獲得3天法定侍產假期,並預計在農曆新年後便可實施。本文將一一回顧現時僱傭條例所保障本地僱員的涵蓋面,以及家庭友善政策的概念。
