After 13 years, having rolled out a massive VRS scheme for the India team, she took a short career break when Delta shut down India operations in 2006.
In 2008 Sunita embarked on her second career as an HR and OD Strategist, leading large company-wide change projects with organisations including Hindustan Unilever Ltd and the Tata Sons - Group Human Resources working on Simplification, Process Change, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Business Process Reengineering and Leadership Development.
Sunita is currently living her purpose of helping people become the best version of themselves through her role as Senior Global Wellbeing Manager with Unilever and is committed to spending any free time in the evenings with her family and loved ones.
While honing her skills in HR Strategy, she is deeply passionate about enabling Mental Health and landing Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and is especially committed to building an equitable workspace for Persons with Disabilities. She enjoys mentoring young leaders and is supportive of gender balance initiatives in every sphere of life.
Sunita is a mother to two teens, an avid reader and a marathon runner. She enjoys waking up at 5:00 am daily to hit the road early enough to get the most out of her day. She ran her 10th consecutive half-marathon at the Tata Mumbai Marathon in January 2020. 2021 remains in suspense! Sunita draws her energy and passion for work and other pursuits from people and is deeply committed to the subjects of Wellbeing and Inclusion. She is a hair donor in support of Cope with Cancer, Madat Foundation and believes in promoting and supporting the rehabilitation of under-privileged women dealing with cancer in every way she can. Her purpose is “enabling joy to help others achieve their finish line…”
